During the bitter winter at Valley Forge, General George Washington sought God privately in the snow, praying for strength, guidance, and endurance for his struggling army. A nearby onlooker, once loyal to the Crown, later testified that witnessing Washington’s humility and devotion convinced him that any cause led by such a man deserved his allegiance.
